The Twilight Saga, No.5

Are the vampires and werewolves still back in town?

Yes I think they are. As if waiting for the third installment of Twilight, 'Eclipse' to premiere wasn't enough, the latest news is that Stephenie Meyer has announced a fifth book is soon to join the Twilight series, well its more of a short story than a full book, but still exciting news for all the twilight fans.

'The short second life of Bree Tanner', tells the story of newborn vampire Bree, whose character was first introduced to readers during 'Eclipse'. The novella, as Stephenie Meyer calls it, is written from Bree's point of view and how she came about the change from human to vampire.

Its no surprise how Twilight has created such a fan base, as it not only has a fantastic concept but has also now been backed up by a great cast who can portray each character effectively. What is surprising though is how Stephenie has utilized this fan base and gained a positive outcome from it. The novella will not only satisfy the fans but will also help the American Red Cross International Response Fund to raise money to support natural disaster relief efforts such as those in Haiti and Chile. One dollar for each book sold in the US from the first printing will go towards this charity. I feel by gaining maximum publicity for the new novella will help Stephenie and publishing house, Little Brown Books, to succeed in thier target and hopefully Twilight fans across the world will come together and 'bite' back to help support this wonderful charity.
