Is it time we saw the bigger picture?

Now that almost every movie is being created in 3D, its no surprise that the latest dance sequel to 'Step Up' is also called 'Step Up 3D'.

Ever since the first Hollywood 3D movie 'Man in the dark' was made in 1953, is has become somewhat of a fascination to the public to experience this different kind of viewing. By watching a movie in 3D allows the audience to experience close up everything which is happening in the movie, it gives the viewer the sense that they are actually in the experience or movie in this case.

Many more 3D films have entered mainstream cinema since 2003 and since then it has only risen in popularity. Some of the titles include;

My Bloody Valentine 3D
Journey to the Center of the Earth
Avatar
Alice in Wonderland and
Step up 3D.


If rumors are to be true then we could be having another spectacular film join the 3D genre, the highly anticipated 'Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows' is all set to be made in 3D. This two part film will first hit our screens on November 19th 2010 and part 2 will premeire July 11th 2011.

With technology advancing at such a fast pace, we as viewers can only wait and see what manistream cinema produces next, maybe some day we will be able to use all our five senses to fully experience the movie.
